Friendswood Police Activity Report, April 23-April 29
The Friendswood Police Department reported the following incidents between April 23 and April 29:
COUNTERFEIT MONEY, DRUGS AND GUNS
April 25, 10:51 p.m.: A traffic stop for an alleged unsafe lane change in the 200 block of North Friendswood Drive led to the arrests of a Galveston man, 37, and a Texas City man, 34, as well as a traffic ticket for a Galveston woman, 40, whom police say was driving. A search of the vehicle led to the arrests of the two men after a stolen 9 mm handgun and a counterfeit $50 bill were found in the car.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
April 23, 9:47 a.m.: An unknown suspect or suspects reportedly used a BB gun to shoot out the lights in three lampposts in a park in the 1900 block of Carriage Creek Lane.
April 24. 9:30 p.m.: The round building at the Old Friendswood Junior High, located at 302 Laurel, was reported vandalized. The suspects reportedly broke ink cartridges and wrote "Rocky" on the chalkboard.
April 26, 8:27 a.m.: Police arrested Friendswood resident Bernard Kevin Curtis, 49, on suspicion of burning all of his wife's clothing in the backyard of a home located in the 100 block of Stratmore.
DRIVING WHILE INTOXICATED
April 23, 4:54 p.m.: Police arrested Friendswood resident Leigh Ann Carpenter, 44, on suspicion of driving while intoxicated with a child under 15 in the vehicle. The arrest occurred during a traffic stop in the 200 block of East Edgewood Drive.
April 27, 2:16 a.m.: Police arrested Alvin resident Fabian Eric Villarreal, 26, on suspicion of driving while intoxicated in the 1400 block of West Parkwood.
DRUGS
April 23, 12:21 a.m.: Police arrested Friendswood resident Chad Jason Mize, 40, on suspicion of drug possession and driving while intoxicated in the 600 block of East Parkwood Avenue.
April 23, 11:17 p.m.: Police arrested Seabrook resident Ryan George Louviere, 30, on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance during a traffic stop in the 4000 block of FM 2351.
April 26, 9:19 a.m.: Police arrested Houston resident Christopher Dale Whitworth, 39, on suspicion of drug activity in the 17100 block of Blackhawk Boulevard.
April 26, unspecified time: Police arrested Pearland resident Christopher Henry Kluender, 32, at Baybrook Village Apartments on suspicion of methamphetamine manufacturing and delivery.
April 26, unspecified time: Police arrested Texas City resident Deon James Rose, 26, was arrested after a traffic stop in the 3800 block of FM 528 on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance.
EVADING ARREST
April 25, 10:33 a.m.: Police arrested Friendswood resident Khristian Paul Benjamin, 21, after he allegedly led police on a car chase from the 2400 block of West Parkwood Avenue to the intersection of W. Parkwood and S. Friendswood.
THEFT
April 24, 4:52 p.m.: Police arrested Pasadena resident Jerry Lee McKnight, 41, on suspicion of stealing tools from a neighbor's yard with the help of two other men in the 600 block of Wilderness Pines Court.
April 29, 7 a.m.: A landscaping sign was reported stolen from the 1800 block of LaSalle.
