Mary's Creek Trail gets ceremonial opening
Mary's Creek Trail will mark phase I of its completion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony from 5-5:30 p.m. Monday, April 23 at Centennial Park, 3219 McLean Road, Pearland.
Those who attend can park in the lot adjacent to the Splash Pad.
The City Council adopted a Hike and Bike Plan for the City of Pearland in 2007. Phase I of that plan includes 2.3 miles of hike and bike trail that connects Centennial Park to FM 1128. It features picnic areas and seating nodes, as well as way-finding and educational signage about native birds, reptiles and insects.
