City of Pearland announces emergency alert system
The Pearland area emergency alert system has been put in place recently in order to keep residents connected and safe.
According to the press release, Roland Garcia, the emergency management coordinator, said, "We have a commitment to our residents to protect them from any danger that threatens our community. The ability to reach all residents quickly during an emergency to warn them and provide guidance is critical to upholding that commitment.”
Alerts will be sent to residents in the event that a fire, flood, toxic environmental crisis or severe weather should threaten the area, as well as normal city news that citizens can choose to receive.
To register for the emergency system, citizens may visit www.cityofpearland.com/alerts.
