Harbor Freight Tools holds opening in Pearland

Harbor Freight Tools opened a new location in the Pearland Plaza shopping center at 3235 E. Broadway St. in Pearland on Feb. 8.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was hosted at 11 a.m. by Mayor Tom Reid and the Pearland Chamber of Commerce.

“We are very excited to be opening the 36th Harbor Freight Tools store in the state of Texas and look forward to being a member of the Pearland community,” President Eric Smidt said, according to a press release. “Our business model is simple: earn our customers’ business every day by offering quality tools at ridiculously low prices, combined with superior customer service. In our current economy, consumers are especially cost conscious, and Harbor Freight provides a much-needed alternative to the big-box retailers that sell brands with inflated prices and provide minimal attention to customer care.”
