Wilder Elementary principal recognized by educators
The Texas Music Educators Association recently recognized Wilder Elementary Principal Terri Bruce for her support of the fine arts at the school.
Thousands of educators were nominated for recognition on behalf of school administrators across the state. Bruce is the only recipient of the award in the Alvin Independent School District.
"It brought me great pleasure to nominate Mrs. Bruce for this award," said Katie Haynes, Wilder Elementary Music teacher, in a press release. "Throughout the years, she has been a constant encourager and supporter of the fine arts staff and program. She regularly encourages core curriculum and elective staff to work together to enhance the learning of every student."
TMEA comprises more that 10,000 school music educators.
