Alvin ISD to hold public meeting

The Alvin Independent School District Board of Trustees will hold its regular meeting Feb. 14.

The meeting will discuss the Academic Excellence Indicator System Report for the 2010-11 school year, which is a compilation of information about state-mandated areas of school performance and includes the results of the 2010-11 Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills, as well as student, program and staff data.

A copy of the AEIS report will be available online following the meeting, and a paper copy can be obtained upon request by calling Brent Shaw at 281-388-1130.

The meeting, which is open to the public, will begin at 7 p.m. and will be held in the Alvin ISD Administration Building, located at 301 E. House St.
