Pearland Economic Development announces board members

The Pearland Economic Development Corporation has announced the election of officers for its 2012 board of directors.

The board re-elected Charles D. Gooden, Jr., as the chair. He joined the PEDC board in 2009 and previously served as vice-chair of Planning and Zoning Commission and vice-chairman of the Commerce Development Division for the Pearland Chamber of Commerce.

Gary Idoux was re-elected as the vice chair. He joined the PEDC board in 2006. He also serves as chairman for the Brazoria County Toll Road Authority and is a former chairman of the Pearland Chamber of Commerce.

And Lucy Stevener was re-elected as secretary. She joined the PEDC board in 2001 and was chairman of the board for the Pearland Chamber of Commerce in 1998.

The re-elected officers will assume their duties at the Jan. 25 board meeting.
