Chavez alum Martinez helps Our Lady of the Lake to victory
Robert Martinez, a 2009 graduate of Chavez High School, scored 18 points Monday night to help visiting Our Lady of the Lake to a 105-81 men's college basketball victory against Bacone College.
Martinez, a 6-foot junior guard for the Saints, added six rebounds and three assists in the 24-point win.
Martinez played high school basketball at Chavez.
A kinesiology major, he is the son of Robert and Dora Martinez.
Martinez is from Houston.
