H-E-B completes purchase of land
H-E-B has completed purchase of land at the intersection of Pearland Parkway and FM 518, clearing the path for the grocery chain to open a second store in the city. The chain doesn't have a construction schedule set yet, but has closed on the land, company spokeswoman Cyndi Garza said. Sherrouse voted against the change as a member of the commission, but reversed her position during a runoff election against Tammy Dexter, who made support for the new store the center of her campaign.
