Changes for Pearland Independence Park on the horizon

Pearland's Independence Park will take on a new look over the next few years with a new entrance, expansion of some facilities and a change of purpose for other areas. The outdoor pool was more of a recreation facility, whereas the natatorium hosts competitive water-sports events. Smith is also considering expansion of the dog park and the tennis courts, but the biggest change might be one of leisure rather than activity.
