KPRC: Identity theft reported at Pearland Jack in the Box
Several employees at Pearland Jack in the Box are accused of stealing
customers' credit-card info, Houston NBC affiliate KPRC reports.
Pearland police said they have already notified 16 customers that they are
victims, but they suspect there are many more victims.
Detectives said Dayvon Clement, 21, has admitted to charging customers for
their meal, then swiping their credit cards on the skimmer he kept in his
pocket. Police said Clement told them that he was paid $3,00 to swipe the
cards on the skimmer, and then he sent the information to someone he claimed
to only know by a cellular phone number.
