Mykawa/Brookside intersection to get new traffic signal
A temporary traffic signal installation project will begin the week of Monday, Jan. 3, weather permitting, at the intersection of Mykawa Road and Brookside Road.
The project will include the installation of a wood pole mounted, traffic signal system with video detection, controlled by a controller in a ground mounted controller cabinet. Signing and pavement marking improvements will also take place.
Work is scheduled to be completed within 90 days.
There are no planned closures of the street during this work, but the City is encouraging the public to be cautious while in the construction zone, be aware of potential delays and be prepared to stop for flagmen and equipment.
Businesses and residents throughout the project limits will remain open and accessible.
