Brazoria County has agreed to purchase a 1956 Twin Beech turbine-engine plane for use in its mosquito control efforts.

Purchase price of the plane is $210,000, with an additional $40,000 required to outfit it for the county's aerial spray operation, said Jim Ryan, director of the county's mosquito control district.
