Lutz is a 2009 graduate of Manvel High School As a senior, 2008-2009, he earned honorable mention all-district recognition and recorded a career-best 22 stolen bases. As a junior, 2007-2008, he was selected second-team all-district. Off the diamond, Lutz lettered in football at Manvel and also participated in choir, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and National Honor Society. He was named a Texas Scholar. Born July 9, 1991 in Barstow, Calif. the son of Mike Lutz and Shannon Bowen, he is majoring in computer science.
