    Perhaps you owe your success to your kindergarten teacher, suggests the between classes blogger. A recent study by a group of Harvard researchers indicates that people who had exceptional kindergarten teachers fare better as adults.

    If we are going to keep at-risk kids in school, says Between Classes, we need to meet their needs rather than get them to accept our idea of what is best. Ways to do this involve offering useful technical education, campus childcare for student parents and perhaps online classes.

The sites are a way for them to spread information about stances on issues and their vision for the district. But, she asks, where are such sites for the candidates who are incumbents?

    Regarding reports that a handgun recently was brought into PISD's administration building, "Between Classes" argues that the focus shouldn't be on if someone should be sanctioned for making the information public, but on the seriousness of the incident and the public's absolute right to know about it.
