    Japan prevailed 3-2 against Chinese Taipei this afternoon in a hard-fought, extra inning game for the International title. Broadcasters from the series said the Pearland game against Hawaii for the U.S. championship will start next on ABC.

    It's game day for the U.S. championship in the Little League World Series. The Pearland team has been pumped since winning the semifinal game against Auburn, Wash., and realizing, as shortstop Beau Orlando put it, "that we're one of the two best teams in the whole U.S."

    A blogger notes that whichever international team makes it to Sunday's world championship game will be undefeated going into the game. He notes that a U.S. victory would mean each team in that game had one loss, yet the title would go to the American team. Is that fair?
