    Manvel girls up to No. 3

    Manvel shot up to No. 3 in Texas in a recent Texas Girls Coaches Association Class 4A poll.

    The Lady Mavericks trailed only top-ranked New Braunfels Canyon and No. 2 Brenham, with co-District 24-4A member Santa Fe 12th.

    Manvel hosts Dawson in a District 24-4A opener at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
