All for pets: Donate food, get free nail trim

Pet food donations help keep needy people from going without food themselves to make sure their pets have something to eat. Photo by Emilia Stasiak: FotoliaThe Pearland Pet Health Center recognizes that the suffering economy not only affects people but animals as well. The center's two veterinarians, Dr. Manley May and Dr. Corbett Post, and its staff have committed to help the Pearland Food Bank by collecting bags of dog and cat food.

The Pearland Pet Health Center, 10525 Hughes Ranch Road, will issue a Free Nail Trim voucher in return for every bag of new food that is donated.

The voucher, which is a $11.29 value, is good for 60 days and can be used the same day that you donate. The trims are only for cats and dogs, and nail grinding is excluded.

The staff at the center recently took a large load of donated pet food to the Pearland Food Bank. The need for dog and cat food was so great that the fresh supply was gone before the staff could even return to their vehicles.

Pet owners, you can take this opportunity to help those in need feed their pets while taking care of your own little furry children as well.
